speedometer on a 1999 Toyota Camery isn't working

Do you notice any dash warning lights ON...when the engine is running? Have you had a Maintenance work done recently?

Yes I worked for Toyota for 23 years I no a little the sensor has a gear under it was that replaced it is separate from the sensor and it a So has a gear on transmission but never goes bad. The sensor and the gear should be replace at the same time
