Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,
I came from office and parked car in my parking. Next day i went to open it and it started giving antitheft alarm. A small red bulb is lighting on dashboard. Engine is not starting. If I open the door again alarm shouts. What should I do? I tried to reset it with disconnecting battery cable and again connecting it, it didnpt work. Now even auto lock is not working. Car is in gud condition.

Hi Raul, it seems like the anti-theft device has an engine immobilizer that won't allow you to start the engine unless it is shut off. Disconnected the battery won't work because as soon as you reconnect it the alarm is going to power up again. Looks like you are going to have to contact your local Toyota dealership or if you know who installed the alarm contact them.
