Hello jerrybethcjm-- Yours could be any of a multitude of problems from what I can determine from what you have told me- like a bad oxygen sensor, bad air flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator, or EGR valve. With a nice low mileage car like yours, why haven't you brought it to a mechanic yet? Pretty soon you will find yourself driving in the middle of nowhere and the car will stall and not start again. What will you do then? Hurry up and have it looked at before what might be a minor problem becomes a major one. Good luck from Bovan.
