Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The button on my shift that is used to shift into
reverse, drive, and etc came off. So I put it in park
and put the button back on and now it's stuck and
we can't figure out how to get it out of park or how
to fix the shift thing.

What Engine in this vehicle? Do you see a small Tab/Cover on the Console near the gear shift lever? Open with your finger nail or a small screw driver. Look down the hole. Do you see a button you can push in? Step on Brake Pedal and attempt to shift out of Park Also....check the Owner's Manual...there may be a different procedure for you Make/Model/Year. Get back with results..
