Stalls

Asked by Wrinx905 Jan 24, 2020 at 02:17 PM about the 2001 Toyota Camry CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

every time I fill my gas tank up all the way.
After a minute or so of drive my rpms will
flutter and my car will stall I have to drive it
probably around 30 Kim’s before it stops
doing this and it only happens after I’ve filled
my gas tank completely up but it drives fine
once the fuel goes down a little was
wondering what would cause this cause the
engine light is not on or anything

Yes and no. I just don’t fill my tank up all the way all the time now. The only down side to this method is my gas mileage sucks I think costs more money per week for some reason but it it won’t stall or act funny. If I do fill the gas tank up all the way I do it right across the street from my house and I’ll leave it over night before driving it again when I do this the car will only stall once after I come off the highway but after that it works perfect and my gas mileage is much better that’s why I still fill it up from time to time
