Coolant temperature
I have an 2001 Toyota Camry coolant temperature
is not going up to normal temp. I put a new
thermostat in but it make the car over heat.

A couple of questions. Did your install the rubber grommet on the new thermostat? I believe it would leak if you didn't. Did you install the new thermostat with the jiggle pin in the correct position? If you did not, that could be the problem. Instructions that come with a new thermostat give the info you need on how to install a replacement thermostat. And, as can happen, new items CAN be bad!
