Chevy cavalier body kit

I have a body kit ( bumpers, side skirts, fenders,
hood, and lights) for a 2005 cavalier. I am selling
the parts. A buyer is interested but owns a 2001.
We are wondering if the kit, as a whole, will fit on
his car.

Look up your body kit, it should give you the range of years it fits. The Cavalier did have a major facelift in 2003, so even though you both own 3rd gen Cavaliers there is a change in front end appearance in 03 that might make your body kit incompatible.

It's really up to him to figure out if your parts will work, just be sure to sell it "as is" and "no returns".
