Over heating when heater on

When im driving i turn my heater on and my
temperature gauge goes up. Put a new
thermostat n water pump

Did you purge the cooling system of the air pockets after refilling the coolant system? Here is how to do that... www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpXgAJ1gjU
