I have a 2002 Toyota Camry LE 6 cylinder. It's been a great car except my
brakes on snow pack or gravel roads. If I have to brake hard, say a car cuts
in front of me, my brakes will feel like they're locking, the pedal feels soft and
I hear a grinding noise and I start skidding. I have to pumped my brakes
rapidly to get them to brake. It is very dangerous and my mechanic can not
find anything wrong with them. Have you ever heard of this problem, is this a
defective Toyota brake problem.

Any warning lights on or flashing when the vehicle is running down the road? Have you recently had the brakes inspected/

No warning lights or flashing lights came on and yes my mechanic inspected my brakes and says there is nothing wrong with them.
