Speedometer, Odometer, Gas Gauge Don't Work Quit Working

Asked by Finntastic_Finn Jul 23, 2015 at 11:39 PM about the 2002 Toyota Camry XLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son's 4 Camry SLE sat for a
week while he was on a mission trip.
When he came back the
speedometer, odometer, gas gauge
and maybe one other gauge is not
working. We had a nasty storm while
he was gone so it could have been
an electrical surge but we notice no
other electrical issues. I looked for
fuses related to those functions,
pulled I few random ones even and
nothing seems burned out. It seems
simple but I'm sure I just jinx it. Any
thoughts on what it might be? Did I
miss a fuse labeled something that is
not obvious?

You might want to consider an attack by "wild life". Do you live in a rural area? Do a good visual inspection in and out of this vehicle including any air intakes. look for traces of nesting, nuts, twigs etc. Does this vehicle start up and run properly? There should be fuses and relay boxes under the hood...and ..inside left and right kick panels.

My speedometer, odometer, gas, and temperature gauges stop working on my 1996 Toyota Camry. Got me worry. Only the temperature gauge goes up to high when my car starts.
