A fault has been detected in the Air Bag System, it needs a professional trained in Air Bags, They are not a DIY or anything to fool around with. The system runs a self diagnostic everytime you start the car and if all is not right the warning will remain lit

Wait, your wording..if it goes out in a few seconds it's OK. It lights while doing the self diagnostic, that is normal. But if it stays on, get it to a shop, usually don't recommend Dealers but sometimes they are the only place with technicians properly trained
