This is an after market alarm system and it is disabling the starter circuit. They normally install the box and the bypass wires up under the drivers side of the dash and around the steering column. Do you have the information on the alarm system like an owners book? Try disconnecting the negative cable at the battery then put the key in the ignition and turn the key on. Then put the negative battery cable on and see if the alarm goes off. If it does not then see if it will start. What year and model car is it? If the system is bad you may need to remove the box and bypass wires. The Combination on Turning the Options On or Off So the table below gives the combination that has to be performed to turn the option on or off. You will have to do the combination during step #2 in the next section. They also have to be done within 10 seconds of step #1! I'll warn you again before you begin. # Option Shift to Door lock switch to 1 Lock immediately when shifting out of Park P Lock 2 Unlock immediately when shifting into Park P Unlock 3 Lock when vehicle speed is about 20kph N Lock 4 Unlock when driver side door is opened within 10 sec. of engine shut off N Unlock REMEMBER! You have to do this (shift to X, press the right key on the door lock switch) within 10 seconds of doing step #1 below The Steps REMEMBER! Step #1 has to be done within 10 seconds of doing step #1! Step #1 Close all the doors. Make sure your parking brake is on. Don't do this on an incline especially if your choice requires the car to be shifted into Neutral. This depends on your key type: Normal key: Switch ignition to the ON position (2nd position). Smart key: Turn ignition to the IGNITION ON mode (2nd press of the start button). Do not step on the brakes or your car will start! Step #2 Shift the gear lever to either P or N. Press the driver side door lock switch to your choice for 5 seconds. Release after 5 seconds.
