Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I accidently drop my alternator wire on the metal cover over the the catalytic
converter and shorted the dashboard lights, ac and radio of my 2005 Toyota
Camry. I checked the fuses and can not find the problem, any suggestions?

There are probably mega fuses under the hood , A multi tester is useful for electrical problems

After much reading and looking at videos yesterday, I finally found a video that described exactly what I did by dropping the alternator wire onto the metal covering my catalytic converter. Last night, I went back to check under the hood and saw that my 120 amp fuse was separated (blown). I must have overlooked it because I was look for smoggy or burnt fuses. This was clear but definitely popped. Now, I have to remove the fuse box to disconnect it from inside the fuse box. I had tested the smaller fuses which some worked and other didn't using a light tester, yesterday.
