Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have Toyota Camry 2005 XLE V6 Engine  and its timing belt change was changed in
2010 August at 90K miles. Currently it have 118K miles. I heard timing belt has to be
changed at around 60K or 5years. Pls Suggest is it really required in my case to change
the timing belt now.

90,000 miles or 108 months (9 years). Whatever comes first -- Relax, it was changed when it was supposed to be and when you hit 180k/18 years, change again --Page 31 -- http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms/05ToyAllMS_MS0003/pdf/01omsour/2005/schedmai/51k1smt.pdf

"Your dealer may recommend more frequent maintenance intervals or more maintenance services than those listed in the scheduled maintenance log. These additional services are not required to maintain your warranty coverage. Ask your dealer for an explanation of any recommended maintenance not included in the scheduled maintenance log"

The above is copied and pasted right from Toyota's Scheduled Maintenance Guide for your Camry. Link is above. Other words, if the dealer or anybody else says you need something sooner or something not listed, your warranty is still perfectly good and make darn sure they explain themselves....why. Don't let yourself get ripped off
