30-40000 is a safe time to change and gives peace of mind, remember to replace the pulleys and tensioner's as well

90,000 miles or 6 years, whichever comes first. This info is in the owner's manual.

are you the original owner or did you buy it used? A 2006 should have had a replacement already- a rubber belt will deteriorate with time as well as mileage-
