My 2005 Cavalier won't shift gears, the shifter just slides back and forth, easy fix or am I in trouble?

The shifter cable bushing broke under the hood. Get the bushings at any auto parts store. Several Youtube videos show you how to fix it. Here is a picture I found to show you the issue. I used a zip tie to put it back together as a temporary fix until I could get the car home.
