how do you reset the maintance indicator off

Hi Buffy, Usually, at least on my Toyota, you go through the following process and it should reset the maintenance light. 1. Put the key in the ignition 2. Hold down the trip reset button on the dash (its located below the odometer) 3. While holding down the button, turn the key to the next position (so that all the electronics go on.) The odometer should be showing a series of lines that will start to disappear one after the other. Once all of the lines are gone the maintenance light should be reset. Good luck!

Lightgears answer is correct...there is I believe 3 settings Odometer, trip a, and trip b. Make sure it is on Odometer when you hold the button.
Hi, i have toyota solara 1999. Today when i drive the trac off light on . So how i can off it.
I have a 2007 Solara, setting the odometer to Odometer and following the steps did not reset. another web site said to set the odometer to trip A and follow the above steps. This worked for me
I too have a 2008 Toyota Solara and the only way to reset the Maintenance light was by following the steps with the Trip A odometer button held in (reset) while the ignition switch is turned from Off to the On (not starting it) position. Trip A will show dashes counting down, then zeros and the maintenance light has been reset.
