Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Toyota Solara, and it stopped on me today.  I was driving on the
highway when it began to slow down by itself.  I tried to accelerate, but the
engine just revved up and it continued to slow down.  I was able to pull over to
side of highway and put it in park.  It jerked when I put it in park.  I tried hitting
the gas again, and it wouldn't move.  I also noticed some fluid leaking from the
front.

Sounds like you have a transmission leak. Is the fluid red in color? I hope you did not burn up the trany. Fix the leak and fill the trany up to its proper fluid level and try it. You may be ok, or you may not.

It was a really dark and dirty color, but someone said it was transmission fluid. Thank you, it is being towed to a shop to be looked at now!

I have 2006 Solara and it starts and runs but won’t accelerate past 1.8 rpms but will move only at that rate of speed
