How to replace Alternator pigtail?

Im trying to change out alternator pigtail on 96
Celica gt 2.2L. Anything showing or explaining how
to get original pigtail off? Not a mechanic but do
what I can.

I did a web search, your vehicle, alternator pigtail. You get the connector--wires and splice connectors. Granted, that connector, in the picture, may come apart, internally? I'd have to get a closer look. Maybe some of the others have a better answer. good luck

I would try using some electronic cleaner and a brush to clean the connector first. If it's beyond cleaning your local auto parts store can sell you a new pigtail. You'll cut the old pigtail off one wire at a time and splice the new pigtail on, one wire at a time, using butt connectors. Wrap the splice with electrical tape and use some heat shrink tubing over the electrical tape to keep moisture out. Hope that helps! Jim
