I have a 1998 Toyota Celica GT that has a horrible oil leak. It will go through about 3 quarts of oil a week. It is not the valve cover. It appears to be coming from left rear of engine.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Someone said that it could be leaking from the oil pump. I go through spark
plugs every 6 months. What could be causing this?

An external leak wouldn't affect the spark plugs, so in addition to your external leak you may have bad rings and/or valve guides. A leak down test will let you know if you do.
