Speedo not working

Asked by Crystal Jul 13, 2016 at 06:20 AM about the 2000 Toyota Celica GT

Question type: General

My mothers bf hit a kangaroo and it shut my 2000
Toyota celica GT-T completely down, a mechanic
in Victoria put a by pass from the fuel pump to the
battery, so the car would start, I've taken it to an
auto electrician in NSW, he said it was fixed, but
the wires are still connected and the Speedo won't
work something to do with a rdi fuse or something,
but all fuses are getting a reading I replaced the
speed sensor not knowing if it needed to be
changed   I'm a female and idk what is wrong I
need help, I need my Speedo to work!!!!

With the fuel pump jumper wired and other possible harness wire damage from(impact) and a burnt RDI FUSE again...its not possible to tell you the issue without inspecting the car. I suggest you take it back to the mechanic that "fixed" the speedometer ask him.
