Corolla Blower Motor Switch

So my blower motor switch is broken on my 1991 Corolla (not the resistor), it's not
worth the price to buy a new one. According the diagram, continuity is 5 and 6 for
low, and 5, 6, and 8 for high. So does this mean if I hook a toggle switch with 5
and 6 on one side, and 8 on the other, I should be able to switch between low and
high using the switch?

The answers yes, if you bridge those three wires the blower motor should come on in high speed mode

@ed92626 It will 5 hours each way and $75 each way for ferry to get to a salvage yard that has a 91 Corolla. There are some small yards near me but it's not worth it for them to carry vehicles that old. Late 90's at best.
