Can't get fuel filter off car?

Asked by hoffmane21 Apr 23, 2010 at 07:04 PM about the 1992 Toyota Corolla STD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot get the Bolt off of the fuel filter to get it off the car. It is like stuck on there. When I go to turn the wrench the fuel line starts to bend with it. How can I get this off?

Don;t ever use a torch on a fule line or filter!! Try some pb blaster to clean the fitting, also try to tighten the nut first, not too much preasure as to round off your nut, this is a old mecanics trick. If all else fails grt out the vice grips & replace the fule line.
