What causes engine to die while driving
I have a 94 Toyota Corolla. The engine dies on frequent occasions while
driving. Engine stops, all lights come on as if you had just turned key to the all
the way on position. Will not immediately restart. Will generally restart after a
few minutes and run normal for a period of time.

Bad grounds from engine to frame or igniter unit in distributor.
Thank you (engine creator). I am going to try to get that checked out....

Enginecreator, my 2015 Corolla has a similar issue with stalling while driving and sometimes no-start. My car was in a front-end collision on June 3 ($10,000 in damages, State Farm deemed car repairable and refuses to pay for this issue), diagnostics found 9 codes on motor, 9 codes on transmission. Could that also be bad grounds from engine to frame or iginitor unit in distributor?

Hello, It could be why its stalling and may could set codes too, I would go over it real well and check all connections & grounds, Also at the computer too. Make sure all fuses are good under dash and hood. Look under dash and hood for any wire going to body and/or frame to make sure they have good connections. May even have the computer checked out or replaced it may have took some voltage shock during collision. State farm should be responsible and man up fix your ride, If you had known the issues to come you could have refused to sign off on it or accept it and forced them to fix it.

State Farm paid for initial repairs, but aren't paying for this particular issue as they say it falls back to the body shop.
2010 Toyota Corolla is also turning off frequent occasions and restarts after 30min
