Question type: Car Customization

I have changed the spark plugs and  put
some high energy low impedance  10.5mm
wires on my 97 along with a specter
performance  in-housing filter but I'm still
dealing with slow acceleration and rough
shifting from first to second gear with the
automatic transmission any suggestions for
me?

How is your acceleration of engine when in park or neutral? If you experience this only while in gear driving, there may be an issue with timing or a sensor causing decreased engine output, hard to be sure without driving it myself.

You may have an issue with fuel delivery, such as clogged fuel filter, dirty injectors, etc..
