There is no "off." Gotta either reprogram it to a new master key or replace several modules.
Usually at dealer 75 to 150 dollars to program a key.

Talley, try removing the positive cable on battery for about thirty minutes, with key not in car, then place key in car to the on position and replace the battery cable, then turn key off and on three time,s,then crank car,if this does not work for you,you will need to take to dealer.
You're only a 26 hours drive to Seattle! Maybe you can trade it in for a moose? Try looking up your owner's manual, it may have a procedure for programming it to accept a new master traonsponder key. Chipped key's however can run around 100 for most makes. http://www.san-francisco-locksmith.us/program-toyota-transponder-chip-key/
Are there any signs of an attempted break in on this vehicle? Do you have a SPARE KEY? Why not try it before we push the panic button. Of course....the Owner's Manual may have the solution to this issue? Let the know the ultimate fix. Good Luck
