Can I put a 1999 Toyota Corolla motor in a 2000 toyota corolla?

I have a 99 Corolla with lots of body
damage but nothing mechanically wrong, I
am buying a 2000 toyota corolla with no
body damage but has a bad piston, I wanna
know if I can swap the 2000 Corolla motor
with the on from my 99?

Yes you can, they are the same 8th Generation 1.8L 1ZZ FE in all cars in the US and all Trims,
