Turn key nothing happens

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes when I first turn the key, I get nothing. No sounds, nothing. I turn it back and turn again and it starts.I left it over night at my mechanic who only repairs Toyotas and Hondas, and it worked fine (of course)... not sure if it's the starter, because I don't hear any noise... any help would be great.
