coolant not circulating

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

car overheating, replaced thermostat and pump and flushed radiator. fill
radiator and wait till hot and not water circulating through water heater.
Tested thermostat in pan of hot water and opens fine around 180 degrees.
bought new thermostat again and tested and installed. No water circulating.
Removed thermostat and water circulates fine. put third new thermostat in
and no water circulating and overheats. Whats the problem. yes i purged by
leaving cap off and squeezing hoses.
