Strange car issues

Asked by Justin Jun 20, 2017 at 10:44 PM about the 2001 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla basic version. A few
weeks ago the car began to either loss power in a
turn or just not want to accerate. It wasn't often. I
thought maybe my foot had slipped on the pedal.

It starts fine. Leaving the driveway no issue. On my
second turn it starts to lose power. I will fully press
down on the pedal and no pick up. Shortly after I
straighten out and press and depress the gas it
goes back to normal operation. It does this after I
go from any stop. After a few minutes of driving
the issue stops and everything it's normal. It does
this again when I leave work. No check engine light
comes on during or after any of this.

I have had the oil changed. I changed the air filter
too(didn't have any issue for almost a week after i
did this). Only other things I did what front pads
and rotors as well as the wipers.

And ideas. I don't have a clue.

you serviced the engine...good...did you service the fuel filter? also try and check the fuel pressure......add 1 bottle of zmax fuel tretment to1/3 tank of gas... with both things done i would give it a good chance to clear up

So I did a fuel treatment and now it's worse. Almost every time I come to a stop the car doesn't want to go. After stomping in the gas it will. It happens on turns sometimes and stop lights and stop signs some times too. It seems better when it's over half a tank. HELP!
