Struggling 2002 Corolla Transmission problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2002 Corolla that is struggling to shift out of first gear, and am stuck about 300 miles away from my hometown. I wanted to know if I'd be able to drive it back home or if I shouldn't risk it... When I checked the transmission fluid the level seemed fine...

check the gearbox and the differential dude
From my experience if its an automatic then you have big issues I had a similiar problem with corolla same year and I ended up having to buy a new gearbox. The old one had somehow killed all the gear teeth when I opened it there was only one gear that looked ok the rest were gone. you will be able to drive in gear one at a low speed at least it reach where u can get it towed and fixed
dude then wat happend 2 ur car??? is it running properly and has faced any gear problems after that ??? and have u changed it 2 a new gearbox????
if it is a Manuel its synchronizing gear must have worn out and start gear shifting very hard
I have a 02 Camry. The trans only shifts twice and idles high after what can cause that??
