Why would a 02 corolla accelerate slowly?

Asked by Guru9441W May 28, 2017 at 11:51 PM about the 2002 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday I was coming home from work and I noticed a small delay in
accelerating. It is not terribly noticeable yet, but I don't want to wait for it to get
worse. When I get to about 40 mph, it acts normal again. I checked my
transmission fluid and it is pink and translucent, it is also full. I had my air filter
replaced about 2 months ago. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
