2003 Corolla Vs 1997 Corolla?

Asked by bugman96 Apr 05, 2019 at 02:58 PM about the 2003 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Do you think it's better to buy a 1997 Corolla for $1000 with 200000km, or
2003 Corolla for $3000 with 275000km. These are average prices in my area in
Canadian dollars and the price could be negotiable.

I might go for the lower mile car but I cannot say since there is no way to judge the condition. Those are extremely low prices which makes me think they are rust buckets.

If you look on Vancouver BC Craigslist you'll see 16 2003+ Corollas for 2500-3500 and 11 for 3500-4000. The newer ones are quite a bit more expensive but most of theses ones are 2003-2007.
