My 2001 Toyota Highlander. The past two weeks, my break light has been coming on and off and various times (even though the emergency break is not on). Does anyone know what the problem is? I know how to turn off the check engine light but I wasn't sure if this was just a fuse problem or something serious.

the brake warning lamp is for parking brake and service brakes, does it illuminate on sharp turns? under acceleration? Check the fluid level in the master cylinder, if level is at or close to "min" have your brakes checked, don't just add fluid. There is a reason the fluid is low.
