P1349 VVT Issues with 2001 Toyota Highlander

Asked by Jonathon Nov 16, 2019 at 12:43 PM about the 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced both oil control valves in a rebuilt engine
newly installed engine.  But, it keeps throwing P1349.  What
else could be causing the code?  (V6, 3.0L)

Worst case could be that they got the cam timing off when putting it together. Here is something to read. https://parts.olathetoyota.com/p1349-code
