2005 Toyota highlander wont shift into park and I cant remove the key from the ignition

My car wont shift into park. It allows me to shift into other gears but it wont go into park and I cant remove the key from the ignition. I have tried using the unlock button and looking under the hood for things but cant find anything wrong.
