check engine VSC code for 2005 Highland

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

codes  P0420 and P0430 indicated. I was told to add Sea Foam when I filled up with gas. will this help or what should be done.

...at first was wondering what sea foam could do to help vehicle stability...then I noticed the catalyst and not good data from catalyst error codes....now I'm confused...the vehicle stability really ain't got nothin' to do with the catalytic converter~....rather than put something into the gasoline, I'd get a tuneup so that it ran perfectly...top 'er off with 93 octane and DRIVE on a long drive until any foul blockers of the catalyst are burned off~ ....still wondering where the VSC is coming from...them codes is for catalyst~

after your long drive with GOOD gas (seafoams all burned away) and presumably the catalytic converter will be restored~...then clear the codes with a 15 dollar scanner~
