I don't drive alot at the moment but do plan on taking some road trips..Maybe 3 to 8 hours away once in awhile.. I have a minimal amount set aside for repairs.. Usually I drive about 30 minutes a day to and from work..

I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander that I bought last year (2017) for $4000. They wanted 5,000 but I talked him down. It had 183,000 miles on it. It’s still running fantastic. However I bring it in for regular oil changes every 7,000-10,000 miles. I do an excessive amount of driving for work. At least 1500 miles every month. I’m taking it for a tune up in a few weeks. Because it’s an older suv I want to make sure I keep up with everything so it will last. Right now it has 210,000 miles on it. Knock on wood, I won’t have any problems with it by keeping up with regular maintenance.

If you have kept up with maintenance. $1300 is only 3 payments on a new car and you won’t get anything for trade But it up to you it’s your car and you know it best
