Kick out

Asked by Darren Feb 23, 2016 at 06:58 AM about the 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder 2 Dr STD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When going around a slight bend in the road  my
MR2 at higher speeds seem to kick out. Nothing to
do with traction and over driving. It doesn't happen
all the time this is why I'm confused what it could
be. Anybody relate to this issue? Many thanks

It's as if the back end just let's go. As I said not a traction issue as happens at 70mph.

Your MR2 has different size tires front and back- and the 4- wheel alignment is critical- they will corner like crazy, but they must be set up properly- if the tires aren't the right pressure, if the alignment is out, if something is worn or broken in the suspension, you will have crazy handling- with the engine behind you, that car needs to be perfect at all times-

Thanks it's in the garage now having a sensor changed I will get them to check alignment or if something in the suspension is templentle causing it to kick out .

I agree. Sounds possibly like worn shocks or struts. Or something else in the suspension.
