How do you replace a bad Toyota MR2 Spyder hood releasee cable?

Asked by smokinpig Aug 03, 2014 at 09:12 PM about the 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder 2 Dr STD Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear hood latch would not disengage when I pulled the release lever.  I had to remove the two 12mm bolts on the latch to get it releases.  The cable end is intact but the cable will not move in the jacket.  How it the cable routed through the vehicle?
