Can I put any Toyota alternator in my car

Only an alternator from another 1992 Paseo and both vehicles will have to have the same transmission, either the auto or manual and or with or without the heat shield. A Toyota tercel 1991 to 1992 alternator will work if both cars have a manual without the heat shields. So there is a very low percentage of you finding what you want used. I suggest you buy a remanufactured one from your local auto parts store. That way you get the correct one for your application.
