Break lights do not work if headlights are on. When you hit the breaks, the buzzer goes off like you left the key in the ignition and the dash lights come on. There has been no work done on the car.

Ok, it seems that when the headlights are off and you hit the breaks, the taillights light up, not the breaklights. So when the headlights are on, the taillights come on with them, but still no breaklights.
