Automatic Transmission problem

Without any indication of any problems all
of a sudden the truck will not move, has
plenty of fluid, but can feel it when put in
gear. The a/t hot light is on but after it
warms up goes out. Any suggestions?

perhaps you've overfilled the transmission, as these tend to be fussy on the level...be sure the level, with the engine running in park between the two hash marks or in the knurled zone. Overfilling can make it inoperative. Tricky to drain a bit out...and kinda messy to pull the plug and put it back while you have fluid runnin all over the place, but if you've overfilled it?...if you've got a sucker tool that you can feed thru the dipstick tube...I've got one, like a bicycle pump with a rubber line on it-

When you come to a stop your foot I off the gas meaning the gas flow stops. It is your carb
