Oil in my radiator coolant

you might want to check your timing chain cover, if the chain is loose enough, it will rub the cover right at the oil passage at the water pump area and the oil pressure being higher than the cooling system pressure, it will pump oil into the coolant & it is very difficult to detect without pulling the cover.

I have the same exact issue except I have gotten more water in my oil then oil in my water I completely rebuilt the whole top end and front with brand new parts including and complete brand new cylinder head the only thing I didn't replace was the timing cover it had a small groove in the top right side from where the guide broke off but it appears they the water is trickling from around the oil pump/timing gear area is it possible that it could be running down from the water pump area making it appear the be coming from that area?

Thanks Ray your right the old timing chain was so slack that it rubbed a hole into the water port of the timing cover into the water jackets on the water pump I noticed some warn area of it but didn't think it rubbed all the way through I am patching it temp while I'm waiting on the new cover to come in I used jb weld after taking the water pump off and discovering the hair line crack what's your thoughts on this I herd some good and bad about antifreeze and jb weld but I'm not going to add antifreeze until I get the new cover we still have about a month untill our first frost if not longer
