Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 95 Toyota Previa DX 2wd . It hesitates and almost bucks when
accelerating until I reach about 35 to 40 miles an hour. Once I reach 35 to 40
miles an hour the van runs like normal. It idles good and reves up with no
problems.it accelerates in reverse with no problems. The only problem is in
Drive accelerating from 0 to 40 miles per hour. Does anybody have any ideas on
what could cause this.

I have replaced distributor cap rotor plugs and wires. I have checked all accessible vacuum lines. Checked EGR valve and found it to be bad and have one on order. Checked and cleaned O2 sensors.
I have been my own mechanic since I was 12. I do not trust taking my vehicles to the shop. All mechanics around here have bad reputation for ripping folks off and not fixing the problems. This is my first previa and i have had it for 11 years. The problem started 2 weeks ago just after a big rain when the roads flooded. I figured it was just water in the distributor again as this is always been a problem when it rains. The van starting running very bad and dies as soon as it made it to the house after it went threw a large water pool in the road about 10-15 minuets from the house and could barely keep it running. Changed all the plugs wires cap rotor and this cleared everything up except for taking off in Drive up to 40 miles an hour. Before all this the van was running great. I have also checked the injectors and they are working properly. I will double check the injectors idle control valve and mass air flow sensor and let you know what I find out
