Any tips for test driving a 1999 RAV4 Manual (190000 miles)

Question type: General
Hi, I'm due to test drive a couple of used 1999 Rav4s later today. They both sound like
they've been well maintained but both also have high miles (180 - 190000). I don't know
too much about cars but need to get something reliable for me and my two baby
daughters (I hear the rav4 can fit car seats and double stroller easily). What type of
thing should I look out for when checking the car and taking it for a test drive? Any
suggestions would be appreciated!

have the smog guy put it on the dynamometer...this will show the health of the motor~

Great - thanks, I think one has already been smogged - but is it a good idea to have it redone just incase?

well really, the data you retrieve will really not help, other than to drive it less, to save the environment and gasoline cost...bicycles are healthy~

Look underhood for signs of an overheat....and subsequent barbeque of the engine~

The CV boots may be cracked...looksee down there with a phillips screwdriver...poke at them and look for splitting and leakage of the special grease (hurts your eyes)~
