oil leak in right side head gasket--relatively small--178kmiles and use high milage oil--any additive out there that is safe and ok to use to help stop the leak

Not really, not worth putting the gunk it the motor.If its not leaking exhaust or sucking in air or causing any other issues with engine performance and its small like said, (Small = say 1/2 to 1 quart a month I would leave it until its worse if it ever gets worse may not. If you are handy when the time comes do a gasket replacement I suggest doing both sides too. At its age I would use the high mileage oil at 20-50 weight.
