My 2005 impala has a short some we're in the circuit wire that supply power to blower how do I fix

Is it really a short? If blower works on its highest setting but not lower settings, the problem is with the resistor pack. If you had a short you'd likely be blowing a fuse. At any rate, to find shorts, or opens, you'll need a multimeter and at least some type of wiring diagram, and you'll have to trace out the circuits, using the meter to check for continuity. A basic meter will run you about $30 at most parts places, and you can search online for wiring diagrams, Autozone's web site has them for most makes and models of cars under their "Repair Guides."

I replaced resister n checked blower even replaced controls then checked to see if resister was getting power it wasnt . while i was tracing wires under driver side consule the blower started to work . it comes randomly so i think its a wiring promblem....
