Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At first my car would jurk everytime I would take
off from a stop so I put some lucas trans stop slip
in and would run good for a while than it started to
do it again and then about a week ago I got in the
car and was driving around once the engine got to
running temp it stared to not want to change gears
and it started to run hot so I went home and the
next day got in it to see what it would do and when
I go to take off my rpms go real high but it
accelerates slow and won't go up small hills but
know it won go at all unless I put it in 1st gear and
shift it from 1st to 2nd than 3rd than I can put it in
drive when I get up to 70 mph do I need to rebuild
the hole transmission.

I figured it out it is the transmission solenoids mine was the shift solenoid 1-2 but I went ahead and changed all 4 solenoids you can get them for about $80 on amazon and I did all the work my self it's a lot of work but it beats paying around $2000 hope this helps u fix yours.
