1442=secondary air injection, C1201= engine
control system malfunction

I'm wondering what the codes mean, can anyone tell me, I just bought suv&check engine light was NOT on & immediately after I bought it, it came on..

The P1442 - secondary air injection system switching valve no.2 stuck closed bank 1 (driver side) and C1201-generic control malfunction. On your 05 this usually means a $2000-3000 repair for parts and labor.
